Terms of Use
Last updated: 5 June 2026
These terms apply when you use Virgol, including the mobile app, website, support features, and Virgol Pro subscription features. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Virgol.
About Virgol
Virgol is a business administration app for tradespeople. It helps you manage clients, quotes, invoices, payments, expenses, receipt scans, files, qualifications, insurance records, reminders, reports, and related job information.
Your responsibility for business records
Virgol is a workflow and record-keeping tool. You are responsible for checking all quotes, invoices, totals, tax/VAT rates, discounts, due dates, payment status, receipt scan results, uploaded files, certificates, and reports before you send, rely on, file, or share them.
Virgol does not provide accounting, tax, legal, regulatory, electrical certification, insurance, or financial advice. If you need advice about your business obligations, you should speak to a suitably qualified professional.
Your account and content
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for the information, files, images, receipts, client details, and other content you add to Virgol. Only upload content that you are allowed to store, process, and share.
Subscriptions and payments
Virgol Pro may be offered as an auto-renewable subscription. Subscription prices, durations, trial or free allowance details, renewals, cancellation, and refunds are handled through the relevant app store where you purchased the subscription, such as Apple App Store or Google Play.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your app store account settings. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel a subscription.
Availability, backups, and data loss
We aim to keep Virgol reliable, but we do not guarantee that the app, cloud services, file storage, receipt scanning, PDF generation, sharing, or support features will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. You should keep copies of important business, tax, legal, customer, and compliance records outside Virgol where appropriate.
Acceptable use
You must not use Virgol to:
- break the law or infringe another person’s rights;
- upload malicious, harmful, unlawful, or misleading content;
- attempt to access another user’s account, company, files, or data;
- interfere with the app, services, infrastructure, security, or billing systems;
- copy, reverse engineer, or misuse Virgol beyond what the law allows.
Changes to Virgol
We may update, improve, remove, or change app features, wording, prices, free allowance, support processes, or these terms. Material subscription changes are handled through the relevant app store where required.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Virgol is not responsible for indirect loss, lost profit, lost business, lost opportunity, loss of goodwill, data loss, or losses caused by inaccurate information entered by you, unreviewed OCR results, unreviewed invoices or quotes, third-party services, app store payment issues, or service interruption.
Privacy and data deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process information. Our account and data deletion page explains how to request deletion of your Virgol account or associated app data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
